I wanted to talk about a little boy that touched my heart greatly. I never met this little boy but I came across his blog some time ago. His family lives in Ashburn which is where we live and he had a twin brother and two older brothers. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 5 months (ATRT to be exact, rare form of cancer) old. He battled hard and his mother and father blogged about him and his treatments during this entire 6 months. I am sad to say that I found out this morning that he's going to be losing his battle with cancer - this ugle disease has spread and there's no stopping it. This family and this little boy has touched my heart greatly - his name is Declan and his smiles throughout his trials and tribulations were an inspiration to us all. May he not suffer any longer... God Bless him and his family! We should feel blessed that our kids are healthy, happy, energetic children that hopefully will never have to endure what this little boy did in his short life.
