Here's a cute, funny story about Joshua from today's adventure at the mall - We were in Stride Rite buying shoes for the boys and as we were waiting, a little boy (about 2 or younger) came over to Aiden who was sitting in the stroller. Apparently, Joshua hired himself on as Aiden's body guard and proceeded to block the little boy from any communication or physical touching with his baby brother. As the little boy moved around stroller so did Joshua continuing to block him out of reach. Not sure what got into our little Joshua but apparently he felt something funny about this little boy and felt his baby brother was in danger so took upon himself to protect Aiden. So cute... Of course, once we get home from the mall, Joshua feels that protection is no longer needed and instead proceeds to wrestle, push, shove and knock heads with his baby brother but he's allowed (so he thinks) since they are, in fact, brothers.

Joshua's Valentine's Dance Debut
And it was a hit! Joshua had his first school valentine's day dance. It was a little awkward at first, Joshua trying to find a dance partner (Justin got it on video). He was sort of swaying to the music but no one to dance with... Broke a mother's heart. :<( He's too shy to ask someone to dance but then his teacher Donna came over and paired him up with a cute little brunette girl, the cutest girl at the dance. hee hee... I posted a video and a few pictures for proof of his manly moves. It seems like the girl was leading but I think that's how it is when you're 2 and half and well... age 32, ha! Enjoy!

Feb 12 2009
We've been blessed with some warm weather we have gotten the kids out to the park a few times to play. Aiden is liking the swing more and more. Joshua enjoys pushing his brother around in the car. We have not been so blessed with a stomach bug that was going around the daycare. Aiden got a nasty bug last week... he was vomiting off and on for the last week. He seems to be on the mend now and actually eating his usual amount so we're keeping our fingers crossed that it's completely over now. His first birthday is coming up so I'm busy getting ready for his little party. As always, we'll be celebrating a few times over the course of the week.
Joshua is our little talker. He says so much and in complete sentences, it's amazing how much he understands and knows now that we're in 'awe' of it but just a sad reminder that he is growing up. :<( Joshua and Aiden are becoming more like brothers. Joshua hugs Aiden when something happens to him even though most of the time Joshua had something to do with it. They have taken a few baths together but the novelty wore off so Aiden is forced to bathe by himself to his dismay. Joshua has been a little more difficult lately getting into the bathtub. With Valentine's day around the corner, we've got plans to attend Joshua's vday dance at 'school' for about an hour. Can't imagine how this will turn out but should be very cute and hope to get pictures. Justin and I decided to spend our valentine's day with our own little cupids this year. That's all for now. Things have been busy around our house but that's how we like it.
