I get so behind...

On posting here for some reason. If you haven't already, sign up for facebook and befriend me, I post pictures quicker there. Lots have been going on. I will not remember it all but Joshua has successfully gone pee pee on the potty several times now. Nothing too consistent but we're proud none the less. He turned 3 on June 12th so we had a few parties for him. Aiden is walking consistently since about May and now it trying to run around. He gets more bump and bruises but I guess that's all normal.

So behind on posting here...

Life just seems crazy busy that I haven't posted in a few months. Lots has happened... I will try to update you all quickly.
Aiden is fully walking now. He gets better every day. He looks so cute toddling around. He just had his 15 month check up and weighed a whopping 27 lbs. 6.5 oz. I forget how tall he was. He's not as tall was Joshua was at this age. He loves the pool although he's hard to keep up with. He doesn't like the float, he thinks he can just walk on in when he wants. He will keep us on our toes all summer. He loves to dance!! When he gets hurt, he always rubs the back of his head no matter which part of his body got bumped. Aiden has a signature wrestling move called the Aiden Splash -- he stands up next to you and lifts up his arms as high as they will go then brings them crashing down on your belly! He will do this several times with a sneaky laugh... You can tell him to do things and he'll go and do them. Aiden - go get your blankie, he will go upstairs to his crib or a different room and find his blankie.

Joshua is 3 now!! He was 39.5 inches tall (90%) and weighed 33.2 lbs (65%). He had a BMI of 20%... ha! Their new thing I guess. He enjoyed his birthday and all his parties. He received lots of great gifts. He loves to feed his brother - that's actually how both of them got sick within a few days of each other we suspect. Joshua feeds himself, then his brother, then himself again. Joshua will help Aiden get toys out of the toy bin when he struggles although states 'no more Aiden'... as if he's not going to help him get any more toys out, just that one. Joshua went pee pee on the potty twice this week (June 14th week) much to our amazement and delight!!!

We went to Outer banks, NC back in early May with friends of ours. WE all had a great time especially the boys. Joshua loved the sand and Aiden liked the sand but couldn't keep him in one place for very longer. There was not much time for sitting with Aiden around. Joshua slept in a big boy bed for the first time and did great! Check out the pictures!!

Must run for now... will post pictures soon, I promise but Aiden is waking up so it's time to get ready for our lunch date!

Little behind on the pictures...

BEWARE - LOTS OF PICTURES TO VIEW BELOW...

So little writing and lots of pictures will be posted tonight. Aiden is pretty much walking a decent amount. He also learned how to stand on his own today in fact! He has most of his teeth if not all of them, he has a mouthful. He still looks the same except...bigger! Joshua is talking so much and having lots of conversations with us. The excitement on his face about various things is so refreshing! We've enjoyed lots of fun adventures - Easter Egg hunts, birthday party, grand parents visiting, visit to a local farm, etc.

Here are some pictures... as i promised, more pics, less writing this time!

Cute things about my kids

I plan to update this blog as often as I can with cute things about my kids as they occur.

Joshua
1) Joshua commented the other day "There are no birdies on the deck because they are in their birdhouses because of the rain" (3/26)
2) He says 'Oc-pus' for Octopus, 'otto' for Risotto
3) He worries alot about his baby brother when he's not the one torturing him.
4) He yells 'pee pee' in this raspy voice - his daddy taught him this!
5) He laughs hard when he 'toots'
6) He likes to share with his brother most of the time - ice cream, gold fish, etc. and feeds it to him

Aiden
1) He coughs twice then sneezes every time
2) We think he says 'aya' for yes
3) Aiden loves to scrunch his nose for pictures.
4) He says Nigh nigh... and blows kisses when you say kiss or love you!
5) Loves to steal joshua's food.
6) loves to wrestle

More to come...

Brotherly love...well most of the time

There's no denying that Joshua and Aiden love each other. Just today, Joshua wanted to go into Aiden's room before his nap and tell him he loves him. And he did. So sweet but then there are other times when his little brother is a little too pesty and the only course of action is to push, scream or cry at the thought of his beloved space being overcome by his little brother. Joshua likes to feed Aiden now either at the dinner table or in the car. It's also not too surprising to hear the laughter from the back seat between the two of them - over what, we do not know and probably do not want to know. I would say about 90% of the time, Joshua wants his brother to come along and hang out with him. I guess that's a good sign because Aiden isn't going anywhere.

Update on the boys - Joshua is talking up a storm and we're always amazed with how much he says and knows. He reads books to us now. Aiden isn't walking yet but is walking with our help more and more and cruising all furniture. His favorite past time is taking tupperware in and out of the drawer. We've been blessed with some good weather so we've been to the park a few times so that's been fun and something different to do. Aiden is quite the ham and one with the ladies. And apparently Joshua also likes the ladies. He has a new girlfriend at school - Fiona. Interesting... We've been attending some birthday parties and it's funny to notice the difference in personalities even so early in age - Aiden is the socializer, gets right in there while Joshua watches and waits to make sure it's ok to proceed. I guess that's a good combination. Enjoy the pictures!
