Aiden's Birthday party Weekend - copied from old post

It's been a while since I posted some pictures. I usually post pretty regularly on facebook but here are a few for those that have come to check out their blog. Aiden celebrated his second birthday and he's talking up a storm - I can't get over his little attitude as well. He's quite the showman! Joshua is starting to write. He does well with tracing letters and can write an O and H and loves to draw pictures. They are eating quite well. I can't complain too much because they are both eating a variety of foods. Joshua started soccer this spring and the first practice went well but it's been a bust ever since. We hope that he will participate next season. Aiden loves to sing and dance and agravate his big brother, ha!

Enjoy the pictures!

One of our Easter activities was visit a nearby farm where Joshua participated in an Easter Egg hunt and Aiden went down slides and we all took a hayride! It was alot of fun!

Fun Facts about the boys - copied from old post

Aiden's 2 year pics at Portrait Innovations.

Aiden is really into asking me all the time 'Mommy, what are you doin' - over and over again until I give him a full explanation. He's so cute when he asks although it gets a big repetitive. He likes to say 'oopsie daisie' in the right context. He loves to sing and dance. He loves to sing the ABC song, the Itsy Bitsy Spider, the bumblebee song but I often forget those lyrics. He's really into reading books but you have to read fast to keep him interested. He's eating quite a variety of foods lately. He's in this hitting phase - his teachers are teaching him how to keep his hands to himself. We try that at home - when he's mad... duck! Something is proably going to fly your way! He's still into everything. He likes to mess with the blind cords and loves to play with brooms outside. Timeout doesn't work too well because he just laughs at you. He loves to play in the street - fustrating little stinker we call him. But his cheesy grin and funny personality keeps us smiling.

Joshua is really enjoying drawing. He likes to draw people, trains with train tracks and balloons. He's getting better at coloring and he's starting to write on his own. He can trace any letter that I put on paper. He has more of a interest in that. He likes to play teacher and use Aiden as his 'student' - Aiden obliges most of the time. He's also eating a variety of foods. Joshua loves to watch Chunnington on our bed. He's very much into reading books at night as well. He's excited about becoming 4 so he can get a booster seat. He likes to act like a dog or sometimes a farmer. He's very much into role play. He will share with us at dinner where Aiden will not. He's a very sweet and caring little boy. We're still working on whining and crying but I think it's actually getting better. They both like to do jobs with Daddy. Joshua thinks Aiden is too young to help, which is true for some jobs.
Now that Aiden is old enough to have an opinion - the boys get into more battles over who gets to watch their show, who had which toy first, whose book is it, whose train is it, etc. But when they play nice - it's fun to watch. They like to wrestle and tickle each other. They like to play trains together. It's funny, they play more together at home then when we're in public or friends are over. Poor Aiden gets left behind sometimes as the little brother but someday, that will all change.

My Silly little Aiden!

Last I weighed the boys - Aiden weighed only 5 pounds lighter then Joshua!

Aiden really loves to sing - his favorites right now are Old MacDonald, ABC's, twinkle, twinkle little star. He knows some of his colors and can count to at least 10. He can read alot of books to us like Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Strawberry bear book, Where's baby's Belly Button. He is constantly trying to get our attention and when we don't do what he wants or speak to him right away, he responds "Mommy or Daddy, you're not listening to me!" with this little frown on this face. It's hard to keep up with all his demands. He talks in big sentences and repeats every thing you say like 'Stupid Traffic'. He often says 'I can do it MYSELF' with myself having alot of emphasis. He is very independent most of the time.

Last of the beach photos + pool photos

Aiden and Joshua enjoying some pool time!

The four cousins out on the beach...

By the end of the week, Aiden allowed us to take him to the deep end where we could throw him up into the air and drop him into the water.

Joshua jumping the waves!

Derek being silly.

Aiden was our resident water boy - he was good about using his buckets to sprinkle all our feet with water when we got hot. Too bad, no one tipped him - could be good money for his college fund.

Aiden and I on the beach early in the week given the scared look on his face!

Cheese, Aiden!

Aiden thought it was fun that Daddy came into the pool with him.

Aiden and his favorite shovel - he played with this shovel all last summer and he was playing with it again this summer!
