It's been a busy summer for us!! The boys are growing up and we're keeping them busy with vacations and outings, etc. I wanted to post some pictures of our last family vacation to the Outer Banks. We were joined by our cousins, Derek and Daniel, Aunt Angie and Uncle Rob and Nana and Papa Corkle. The drive down was quite challenging - it took 10 hours with a large, rather scary thunderstorm at the end of the drive. The boys did ok but the adults were crazed when we got there! But thankfully, we had hot but sunny weather the entire week after and the boys got lots of beach time!! They enjoyed their time with their cousins and grandparents. Joshua was into the ocean from day 1. He wouldn't get into the deep end but enjoyed running through the waves and pretend like he fell into the water. He had a blast. Aiden was very scared of the ocean at first but by the end of the week, he actually got into the ocean with Justin or I!
Check it out!

The boys posing for a picture...

Aiden was surprised by a wave that came up and knocked him down. He was a bit upset afterwards.

Aiden enjoyed the sand a bit more this summer with running trucks along the sand and building sand castles.

Joshua got right into the ocean with his cousin Derek.

Aiden looking so sweet and innocent.

Aiden up front and center with Nana to help her blow out her birthday candles!

Aiden and Joshua cuddling with one another.

Joshua walking along the water... looking for sea shells - there weren't any to find!

Joshua befriended a man who was fishing with his daughter along the beach. He actually held the fishing rod and attempted to bring in a fish... Where did his shyness go?
Derek and Joshua were quite the pair all week.
Aiden was quite mischievous all week!

Joshua and Derek are fighting over a boogie board - quite funny to watch actually! Of course, they got over their little 'tiff' in about 2 minutes and continued to play together...

Joshua and Daniel watching a show before bedtime.

Aiden taking off with one of the boogie boards.
That ends the first phase of beach pictures...
